Guest guest
Hi Ed, Thank you so much for your reply... I have Medco health as my perscription company, too. When I called them the other day they claimed verbally that they do not pay for GH, but I guess I will have to move forward appealing to both my health & perscription company. If you don't mind, Ed, did you have to appeal to medco health? Thank you, Diane > > Hi all! > > Has anyone encountered this situation... Guest guest
Diane, We recently went through the process for getting GH approved by our insurance company. We didn't do a thing. The doctor contacted the pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, and the staff in their " bridge program " did everything for us. The incentive for them is that Pfizer created and wants to sell GH, genotropin in this case. We supplied them with any information they needed, but they worked with the insurance company and went through two appeal levels before the insurance company agreed to authorize the purchase of GH through our plan. I was so grateful that we didn't have to deal with the insurance company at all. Sherri D. Guest guest
Hi diane!! as sherri stated this was the same thing for us Pfizer did all the work with getting our ght started,(we also had the stimulation testing done which they were able to use as leverage and got it approved the first time they tried) maybe you should see if the drug company will go the same route for you as well. my insurance is cigna and we just have to use their tela-drug pharmacy to get our ght from. they pay 100% i dont even have to pay a copay. good luck!! jodie (nicholas-6 nonrss, christopher-3 rss 23lbs 33 " ght genotropin .6, johnathon-9m nonrss)
