Guest guest
Hi all, I know I'm very sporadic in my posts this past year.. but it has been nearly impossible to keep up with my medical, Joe's medical and I just had surgery (hysterectomy with complete abdominoplasty) the end of July. Finished Joe's Kindergarten IEP yesterday and all the kiddos are starting school today. I still can't even drive or stand up straight! Surgery (on 7/25) went great!! The pain has been terrible but the docs were great at following all the protocols and med precautions until 2 weeks post op. They switched my pain meds to one I am not supposed to have! After 2 days of holding nothing down (pain meds included) my wonderful hubby found me passed out and not breathing well in the bed. A trip to the ER for the night, an arm that looks and feels like a pincushion... too many tests to keep count. Finally I am back on the mend. My dear hubby had to register all 4 kids and do all the school supply shopping for the first time ever!!! Only 6 calls home and now they are all off to school. He has been really wonderful trying to take care of everything and me too! I have missed you all terribly this past month. Joe's skin biopsy results from June finally came after harassing the doc for over a month... YEAH!!! He doesn't suffer from Lemli Opitz Syndrome but is a carrier for the defect. Just too much without all the help and support from you all!!!!! You all have been in my prayers and thoughts often. I know I won't be able to play catch up with over 2,000 emails in my box but will try to get back on a few times a week from this point on. Hello to all the new people!! Sorry you have to be here, but this is an incredible place for support and information! Missed you all.... hope all is well!
