Guest guest
Has anyone got any help from a gastroenterologist or who would be the best person to approach looking for help with the problems our children have? I was just discussing the diet with a friend who's child has always responded very well, and really goes OTT with any infractions, even after nearly 2 years. She was wondering, how long does this continue - like many others she has other children, and it is getting harder and harder to keep her little girl away from their foods. My little guy doesn't tend to be as bothered at the moment, and is easier to keep on the diet. But we were wondering, the diet is kind of like putting a bandaid on the sore and not treating what is causing the sore - or is the leaky gut supposed to heal while the diet is being followed? Does treating for yeast help solve the problem to some degree. She had her daughter on oral secretin for a while, but felt it was depressing her immune system a bit (runny nose etc...). Is there a formula to follow besides the diet - a specific doctor to see, or an approach to try that would help enzymes work better? Thanks in advance for any feedback Dunne
