Guest guest
My 6 year old has seizures since he was 1 month old from a Hep B shot. We have been on 21 seizure meds to NO AVAL!!!!@ I also did the ketogenic diet. It is very strict and a little difficult at first, but if you do the EXACT PROTOCOL from s Hopkins (or Dr.s' in your area that have been trained by ONLY 's Hopkins) the suppor is great!! We did the diet for 22 months and were able to get off of all seizure drugs! He never looked better. Got 50% seizure control, unfortunately, but it was well worth it. Those drugs are poison!! One side effect of the keto diet is kidney stones, and my son did get them, but he was passing them. He was only 22 months old when I did the diet, and I actually saw sand in his diaper after his morning urine had passed, It's worth a shot , though. There is a 50% success rate with this diet in kids with intractable (uncontrollable) seizures. Pam on LI
Guest guest
Heavy cream is almost " essential " on the keto diet. It's 90% fat, 5% protein and 5% carbs!! Pam on LI
