Guest guest
Hi June, Dorsiflexion should be at 10° to 15° but Dr. Ponseti said that even at 5° the foot functions fine. When we were in Iowa last he and Dr. Morcuende said that even at 0° they prefer not to intervene. Part of the reason being that after age 6 children's skeletal growth slows down which allows the heel cord to catch up. Dan Dorsiflexion Question? Hi Everyone! I was wondering...what is the guideline or degree dorsiflexed a corrected clubfoot should be? I don't remember from my research long ago. Shane recently saw his doc who did x-rays. his good foot has amazing dorsiflexion , but his clubfoot is not as good and I was wondering at what degree angle it sholud be. Thank for the help in advance. June
