Here's another thought I was having...I know of 6 or 7 RSS families

up here in the Chicago area. I was thinking about trying to organize

a group fundraiser for the 2005 convention. Something like....A

large BBQ or dinner in which we would invite all of our nearest and

dearest to attend (and of course, donate ). Supplying prizes,

dinners, etc. I figured the bigger attendance could help the end

result of donations and we could all chip in on getting it together.

If there's anybody interested in doing this in the Chicago area,

please let me know. Obviously, it wouldn't be for awhile, but it's

something to keep in the back of our heads.

- there are a whole heck of a lot of RSS/SGA families near the

Chicago greater area, and on top of that, even more families that

are part of other MAGIC divisions. If someone wants to coordinate

this (maybe a couple moms or dads), then we can do a mailing to all

MAGIC saying we need volunteers for the following (and you list the

various topics that you want volunteers for -- silent auction

recruiting, music donation, location pick, food committee,

decorating, etc).

Anyway -- we can chat offline if anyone decides they want to do

this.
