Guest guest
Sheila, There is a procedure called banding that is done in the surgeons office - not too uncomfortable according to my Dad who has had two done in the past month. Basically they strangulate the little suckers and they fall off...Could this be an option for you? " ended up with hemmorrids. ER doc told me the > only way to get rid of was to have baby " > ------------------------------------------------------------------- -- > perhaps this ER doc was a male and doesn't understand hemorrhoids of > pregnancy very well? I must not fit into the category of " once you > deliver, your hemorrhoids go away " because even now @ 20 months AFTER > delivery, I still have to " replace " my hemorrhoids manually after > EVERY bowel movement. Not such a pleasant thing to discuss, but since > you mentioned this, I thought I would share. The reason I hesitate > getting them " fixed " is my Dad said it was the most painful surgery > that he has EVER had in 65 years of living! > > Best wishes for pain relief soon! > > Sheila
Guest guest
No SnookZ, my hemorrhoids are internal until I have a BM. I have tied suture tightly around some long moles I had on my tummy after WLS and they became necrotic then they fell off. They weren't too painful, but I didn't have to sit on that area alot (up and down- up and down-lol). Coupon , I don't know about the hemorrhoid pain being worse than WLS to my Dad as he isn't overweight to have had that pain. My best friend had OPEN RNY surgery twice (revison a year after the initial RNY), and they only thing she took was Tylenol for the pain. My abscessed teeth pain was 100,000 thousand times worse than my WLS pain, and I haven't had " thrombosed " hemorrhoids, so I can't tell. Everyone's perception of pain is different, but to my Dad the hemorrhoid surgery was worse than anything he had ever had. I would rank my pain as abscessed tooth the most major pain I have ever had. Second place would be RNY, 3rd-toenail being ripped from my big toe by the bottom of a door. 4th would be a tie between GB surgery/hemorrhoids/D&C w/ exploratory lap. Guest guest
lol, Sheila...You had to know that being a nurse I would ask...Only another nurse would want specifics about hemmroids, eh? Or BM's...lol, I have been needing lactulose throughout the pregnancy, but today, miracle on miracles, success! Must be true that sometime during the 2nd trimester, the poop issue gets better...I will take this one day of no struggle as a gift! Hope things are better on your " end " ...lol, couldn't resist Hugs > No SnookZ, my hemorrhoids are internal until I have a BM.
