Guest guest
Livie is wearing a size 7N right now. We got them in Iowa City in November. I thought I remember reading that they only go up through a size 8, which may or may not eventually be a problem for us. She's 3 years and 4 months right now, but we fully expect her to have to wear the shoes all the way through 5 years old. She still has plenty of room in the 7N's and I'm not concerned right now. I guess it's a cross that bridge thing for us right now. Anyway, you might want to try emailing Markell and see why your orthotist isn't able to get the shoes shipped. The email address is markellshoe at optonline dot net. I believe that this is their customer service email. Also, Jay Markell does monitor the board, so maybe he will see your message also. Good Luck, Jen & Livie (10-18-01) severe left clubfoot Markell larger sizes Hi Is there anyone in the group whose child is wearing larger than size 5 open-toe Markells? I remember reading emails last year saying that they were making bigger shoes now, because kids are in the shoes until 3.5 - 4 years of age. But our local orthotist tells me that he has been ordering them for quite a few months and they just never deliver any. I'm getting worried, because is in a 4.5 already, and the next time we need shoes, it'll probably have to be a 6. is the 'oldest' Ponseti baby in South Africa, so we are going to be the first to need bigger shoes. Seems like the orthotist hasn't been able to get much info from the factory as to when they will be available. Guest guest
Thanks Jen, good to know they're out there, I was getting worried! I thought I had heard they would go up to a size 9? Maybe not. I'll phone the orthotist to tell him. If it's a real problem to get them I can always order from Iowa via my sister in Florida, but it's much nicer to get them locally and have him fitted. Guest guest
, I'm awaiting a size from our orthotist...he didn't have any in stock so he had to put an order in. Owen is currently in size 4's but I've been going up by 2 sizes each time.
