Guest guest
Hi Sharon: Have a great time when you visit NY!!!! It is cold (brrrr......) on the east coast so pack wisely!!!! I would forgo any power shopping you need to do in NYC ( the taxes are high and most of the stores charge higher prices in the NYC). I wanted to know if I will still be able to buy some winter clothes as you will be coming into Spring. It would be a bonus if they are on sale. I am hoping to go over with empty suitcases and come home with a suitcase full of goodies. I have had a look at a few online stores eg macys and gap and they're the wrong sizes, so I don't really like my chances. Also is there a special store or chain that sells warm PJs suitable for my CF baby (boy). Or will the new season Spring clothes keep me warm???? We will be going to LA, Las Vegas and New York. Is NY the coldest of where we are going? Our first stop is San Diego, this is where I will get time to shop peacefully while DH is on a conference. Look forward to hearing from you and seeing your country. Sharon --------------------------------- Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. Guest guest
Well, enjoy your visit. New York is definitely cold. Summer clothes fill the shops now, but there are sale racks with winter stuff at good discounts. Problem with sale stuff is that the choice is limited, so finding stuff for cf babies becomes even more difficult. Have fun! and 6/24/04 bcf s 18/7 Sharon mumtwoboys@...> wrote: Hi there We will be visiting the US for the first time on 19th Feb. Guest guest
Sharon- I live in San Diego. When will you be traveling this way? It is nice and warm here this time of year. The lows during the day are in the 60's and can get up to 80's if we're having a warm front. La and Vegas should be about the same temps. New York , my family lives there, is a different story, they are quite cold right now and have had a lot of snow, so be prepared. Also If you like Gap clothes you may also want to check out Old Navy, they have lots of winter stuff on sale at this time of year, at amazingly low prices, I just bought a ton of stuff for my gus, each piece costing under $5. some as low as $1 & $2. I find the East coast, New York has better seasonal sales that the west coast, San Diego, LA, because there is a true season change on the East coast. Enjoy your trip and shopping. If you need any help or would like any help around San Diego just let me know. June > Hi there > > We will be visiting the US for the first time on 19th Feb. Guest guest
Hi Sharon. San Diego and LA will be warm. Usually 60-70 degrees this time of year (or warmer). NY will be cold! In fact, you will be freezing! I can't imagine you would find winter clothes in California, because their winters aren't that cold. However, you may find some in NY. All winter clothes are on clearance already, so you should find some great deals! Have a wonderful trip!! You are going to all the best cities. You will have a lot of fun. Guest guest
Yep, the only cold place you are going is New York. Although it was pretty warm this weekend but who knows what is going to happen from one day to the next. To bad you weren't here this past week because it was " tax free " . HAVE FUN!!! Guest guest
Sharon, I visited Washington State 2 weeks ago and picked up next years winter wardrobe for Owen on sale! I didn't look around too much - Sears had stuff on clearance for 30% off of the last ticketed price. I got 8 long sleeved heavy cotton shirts and 4 pair of pants for less than $30.
