Guest guest
This may not help, but all kids go through growth spurts and when that stops, they just don't eat (some don't hardly eat enough to keep a cat alive, it seems to parents, anyway). Is he taking his vitamins? I would try not to worry (if he wasn't on this diet, and quit eating you probably wouldn't be so worried). One thing I always did, and my daughter does with my grandchildren, is try to get the child to eat at least 3 bites of everything on plate (when they go through those times of not eating). When he starts to have a growth spell again, he'll eat, maybe. I have known kids that seem to never eat, my neice was that way and she is grown now and eats all different variety of foods which is amusing because when she was young, she would not eat anything. Good luck. > When you read the subject line of this post you may think it's > a kid that has just started the diet. My son is 4 and he > has been on the GFCF diet for 15 months. Guest guest
Hi Penny Its sounds very difficult. My husband thought our son was skinny and wondered if others ate much. I know sometimes we give him a boost by allowing him to eat junky stuff like cookies, cupcakes, candy or whatever so that maybe the mood emotionally will help. We saw him a little depressed earler on. This junk thing helped. Maybe letting up some restrictions might help. I would be concerned too and wonder if you have a doctor that can test for any problems he might be having. I wonder about his bm's and fats in his diet. Any more info you could share? kelly
