; Usually I am a lurker but I wanted to tell you about our

experience. Our son has been gfcf for over a year now! We saw some

slight improvement in the first four months, but it was not until 8 months

into the diet that my son began using language again. He is almost 8 years

old, and he is now using 2 and 3 word combinations. Another thing we

noticed is that we can push him further as far as difficult situations... he

can handle alot more before he has a breakdown. We live a pretty decent

life now, he is still autistic and in a self-contained classroom, but he is

mainstreamed for 45 minutes every day into a regular ed classroom, and his

computer skills have improved beyond belief.

The bottom line is... hang in there, we did and I am so glad!!

How about yeast issues? Do you suspect this? The runny pooh makes me

wonder about this. You may want to consider trying a gf/cf and yeast free

diet.
