Hi Shayna, Laurie,

Yes, I describe my pain as burning too. I have also had the " water " running

feeling but only a few times. I've had the " itchy " feeling after pain in a few

instances.

It has been quite awhile since I had nerve pain this severe. As a matter of

fact this is the worst I have ever had it and it is from head to toe. I always

seem to confuse this pain with overused muscles. I have had it in the past and

on one occasion, when it was going on for 3 months and increasingly worse, I

remember I confused it with muscle pain for awhile then too. Until I started

getting pain in my feet, and a twitch under my eye that wouldn't go away, then I

caught on to the nerve involvement. I didn't have a diagnosis at that time. I

kept doing research and found a natural remedies book that suggested magnesium

for this sort of nerve problem. I thought I was getting enough magnesium

because I was juicing greens at the time, so in great frustration, I decided,

" ok, I will eat as many foods with magnesium in them as I can. " Within days, I

started to get relief. I had a twitch under my eye that improved within 4 hours

of starting this, and within three weeks, all my neuro pain resolved. All the

foods that have magnesium in them, also have B vitamins in abundance also. So, I

am going to start doing that again and see if that can give any relief this time

as well. I will let you all know how it goes.

BTW, the foods that have the most magnesium [b vits too] are nuts and seeds.

Pecans, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, etc. Raw whole nuts from the health

food store. Also, dark green leafy veggies.

Dear Adam,

For me, the way I usually know the difference between muscle and nerve

pain is that my nerve pain is a burning, electrical sort of sensation

and the muscle pain is more of an aching type pain. Don't know if

everyone would concur on that but it's been my primary issue for

decades. Also, massage for me has felt good at the time but the

results didn't last long. In the end, I couldn't afford a treatment

that had such brief results. But again, we're all different.

Best,

Shayna
