Hi Pat,

It's nice to hear from you but I'm sorry that you are not doing well.

I don't know the name of the BiPap machine but I understand that

there is one out now that will adjust to you automatically so if you

have different needs at different times, it adjusts to you. Your

sleep study specialist should be able to find out more about this for you.

Good Luck. Sleep is so important.

Alice

Hi Pat, it's HeidiC. I am also using a vpap s/t but I also use a cough

assist at least 4 times a day (aiming for 6 times) to keep those

muscles in shape. It sems to be doing the trick so far. You might

want to ask your pulmo about it. those little plastic incentive

spirometer thingies are a joke! I, too, find that my breathing varies

from night to night. I sleep with a pullse ox and adjust my O2

accordingly, keeping around 95% If you want to chat I'd love to hear

from you.

Take care

Thanks Alice and Heidi

Heidi I thought we weren't supposed to use oxygen but that probably

varies from person to person like everything else with us Mitos.

What is the name of your Vflex machine? I'm not familiar with a cough

assist. Something I should learn about. (sigh)
