Guest guest
Laurie There is now a shot that can be given every twenty eight days during the cold and flu season. It's the synigist (sp) shot. Very expensive but well worth it. We were given the shots the first two winters. Premies and underweight child is who usually qualify. There is now T.V. commericials in our area about it. Maloy Word of warning for parents of RSS kids Hi I am not sure how to put this, but when I went to one of my many MD appts, I was talking to my MD about my son who has had a cold. He said that my son (non RSS) is healthy, he has been working in the Ped's ward as well and that the ward is full of younger kids with RSV....I am not sure what the actual initals stand for except it is a Respiratory Virus that attacks kids that are either under a certain age or have immune systems that are compromised. Watch your kids. I know I sound panicky but I know that when I was a kid, yes I am RSS over 40....I got real sick, and several MD's now think it was a RSV attack. I also know that many of the kids in this group do have problems fighting bugs...
