Guest guest
I'm glad things went well for you. I knew it would. I was told I would be under a general for my biopsy at CCF, but ended up having a spinal instead. The anesthesiologist's wife has mild mito and I had had some previous anesthesia problems, so he felt this was a better choice. Dr. Cohen tries to make sure the anesthesiologist knows what things not to use, but take the article on what can and can't be used. CCF is a large place and often functions like one. laurie > Hey Everyone, > > I am back from Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Cohen. The appointment went well. He said they are going to take about a two to 3 inch piece of muscle tissue out of my thigh. My last biopsy as most of you know didn't go well, the nice after shock of the staff infection I recieved and all. But then again, Cleveland Clinic is a more reputable organization than Ohio State. > > Anyway, I am very tired from the trip. We drove about 10 hours yesterday so I need to rest a lot today. Guest guest
, I am glad things went well. Lucky you that you get a general ansethesia for your muscle biopsy. I had only local for both of mine and the last one was from my right thigh which REALLY hurt when they did it but as far as postop discomfort there was very little. Good luck! Guest guest
, as you have read I finally am able to get a referral to the MDA Clinic at KU in Kansas City, MO. I wish you good luck with your biopsy. I'll watch the posts for when you go back. Guest guest
I had local anesthesia for my fresh muscle biopsy, I was told that Dr. Shoffner's patients usually get general if a child or local if an adult. It started to hurt during the muscle biopsy surgery, when the pediatric neurosurgeon was almost done, but I complained and they immediately put some topical anesthetic on it (flooded it with some anesthetic solution, I don't know what) and the pain decreased a lot. Take care, RH > Hey Everyone, > > I am back from Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Cohen. The appointment went well. Although Dr. Cohen was pretty quiet and didn't do a lot on a physical exam standpoint.
