It was mentioned back when we were discussing the Clubfoot Swap idea. I joined the freecycle group of a neighboring county that day and have also started a budding group in my county. Thank you. I really enjoy it and the concept is wonderful! Freeman
Guest guest
Freecycle is a a nationwide organization (freecycle.org) that is divided into local groups..online via Yahoo Groups. In the groups people post things they have as OFFERS, clothes, books, furniture..everything. that can be imagined as long as its legal, free and appropriate for all ages. Then people reply privately asking for the items, if you get picked then you pick the items up (keep in mind the groups are local). Also works the other way, you post what you have as an OFFER and people email you asking for the item, you decide who gets it and they come take it off your hands. You can post Wants and people reply offering what you are looking for too. Everything has to be free though, no trading, no bidding, no selling. Very neat. You should check it out..freecycle.org. I have gotten Kaitlin lots and lots of clothes...some consignment quality, some worse and some better....either way, they were free and she will wear them. I also got a futon frame...it is really nice. I gave away a printer, some picture frames, curtains and a calculator...more space to put the stuff I get from freecycle now :-) Freeman
