Guest guest
Hey Everyone, I am back from Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Cohen. The appointment went well. Although Dr. Cohen was pretty quiet and didn't do a lot on a physical exam standpoint. He mostly read Dr. Simpson's reprt and asked me questions. He is scheduling me for a muscle biopsy probably not until September because there are now 15 people ahead of me for it and I also need to be off my CoQ10 for a month to check and see if I may have a CoQ0 deficiency. My cousin has a CoQ10 deficiency so he wants to see if there are parallels there. He also had me get a whole new series of blood tests while I was there. Most of the tests I have not had before...metabolic panel, and a bunch others I can't remember. Anyway, I am not nervous now, other than he told me that I will be under general anasthesia for the biopsy instead of local. He said they are going to take about a two to 3 inch piece of muscle tissue out of my thigh. My last biopsy as most of you know didn't go well, the nice after shock of the staff infection I recieved and all. But then again, Cleveland Clinic is a more reputable organization than Ohio State. Anyway, I am very tired from the trip. We drove about 10 hours yesterday so I need to rest a lot today. I will post more info as I get it. It is good to be home.
