I lost the baby in August and concieved again in October and knew I was pregnant by november. This pregnancy has been a relly good one. I don't know why they would make you wait so long. I heard that 2 cycles was the normal waiting time. i have never heard to wait 6. Good Luck TTC and I hope for you a nice healthy baby. How long after miscarriage did ya'll conceive? > >They say i wont ovulate for 2 months is this true? ------------------------------- I had a blighted ovum miscarriage at 14 weeks in July. My OB said to wait 3 months to TTC again ONLY because I had hemmoraged so badly...and that my body needed time to recoup... He also suggested extra Iron and folic acid for those 3 months. We put off baby making so I could have WLS.. only to conceive 10 weeks later... :: sigh :: I have known many a women in various pg groups that have conceived the next month... not even allowing for a regular " cycle " . I am not a doctor.. but I would question the 6 months... perhaps he has some nutritional concerns or vitamin concerns?? But as for the likelyhood of another blighted ovum... it isn't that likely statistic wise.. I forgot the actual numbers. Many women m/c and don't even know they had a blighted ovum... some of us are not that lucky.. Perhaps that is just what you Dr feels is a good idea... ??? There is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion!! K in Ft Lauderdale Open RNY w/choly 12/2/03 55 lbs gone... slowly.. very slowly.. Guest guest
K, I have had 5 miscarriages, 2 of them were blighted ovums. My doctor said to rest a month before TTC again. My period showed up both times about 38 days after the D & C. Hope this helps! Ronnie
