Guest guest
Dear Jodi R, This is something I have had some experience with, since my achon Daughter, Kim had chronic ear infections as a child. Yes, you probably should pursue seeing an ENT. They can do something to help you. Your child could possibly have alergies, which could be treated or perhaps could be put on something prophalactic. First, I think you should purchase an ear scope and ask the doctor to teach you how to look at his eardrums so that you can be on top of the problem and alert the doctor before it becomes severe and painful. They are not prohibitively expensive and you can oftentimes see an infection beginning, even before your child would know. Second, you can consider whether it is time to put tubes in his ears. When Kim had ear tubes, the number of infections was way less. Third, you are right to be concerned. Kim has permanent damage becaused of all the infections she has had in her life. Good luck to you and , who should win the award for most improved child I know of. I had one curiosity question for you. What did Dr. H do for that has made such a difference in his life? Take care of yourself. Conny, Great-aunt to > Hi all, > I just want to throw out a quick thank you to everyone that responded > to my post about being sick. Guest guest
Hi Conny, Thanks for responding. You are so good about responding to my posts but . It seems like you are always there for us! ) Anyway, has made some big improvements due to seeing Dr. H, but it will be a long one to write, so I will try to email you privately if that is okay. The main thing is, she switched him back to a g tube (which I was NOT happy about) and he started gaining 7 ounces in a week. She also changed his feeding schedule and upped him a great deal! I was thinking that there would just be NO way he would tolerate it all, but he as done well weight wise since! I'll write more to you, okay!
