Guest guest
hey all... here is the letter that i have typed up and have pasted to the email that i sent dr phil, oprah and montel once a day.. surely they will get sick of seeing it and respond.. if nothing else than to tell me to stop!! lol... what does everyone think? and have anything else i should add? can't be real real long.. space limited.. so any input? thanx mommy to Grace 12-03-03 BCF My daughter, Grace, was born with bilateral clubfeet. Without treatment she would not have ever been able to walk. She is 14 months old. For 13 months she was treated by a non-Ponseti certified doctor. Her legs were casted and recasted repeatedly. She had two surgeries by this doctor. Two months ago I started to notice her feet turning back in. I was very concerned and started doing research on my own. I found Dr. Ignacio Ponseti at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is a 90 year-old man that is still practicing today. He has developed a method of treating clubfoot children with almost always no surgeries. There are not a lot of Ponseti certified doctors in the United States. I was able to find Dr. Dobbs at the St. Louis Children's Hospital and we drive 350 miles monthly to see him. We are following Dr. Ponseti's method and soon Grace will be out of casts and on her way to leading an active and normal life. I am concerned for the mothers and fathers out there who do not know to look for alternative methods of treatment. But mostly I am concerned for the children who have to undergo needless and countless surgeries that can be avoided. I want recognition for Dr. Ponseti and his decades of selfless work as a savior to so many. I want parents and doctors to be aware of his method. I am hoping you will help me spread the word and recognize this wonderful man through your show. Thank you. Caroland.

They seem to publish stories of this nature frequently? I am new to this, but would be happy to help spread the news.
