Guest guest
Essene bread Does anybody have any ideas about what we could replace the wheatberries with in this recipe? This is for a sprouted bread similar to Ezekiel Bread. BL Essene Bread 4 c. soaked wheatberries 1/2-1 c. finely minced vegetables ( parsley, celery, onion, green pepper, carrots) 2 T. seasonings ( caraway seed, poppy seed, sesame seed, garlic) Soak wheat in water at least 15 hours. Pour off water and allow wheat to drain for 15 hours. Put wheatberries though juicer or hand grinder. Add vegies--sprinkle seasoinings on top of the " bread " . Form into a loaf or patties. Bake in sun or warm place ( 70-90 degrees), till firm. It may be necessary to trun the loaves a few times so that the underside does'nt stay sticky. " Bake " about 12-24 hours. The longer the bread sets, the stronger the flavors will become. ****************************** * v'col netivotcha shalom * ****************************** Someone posted this a longggg time back. Apparently I deleted it and have never been able to bring it up in the archives again.
