Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to this board (live in the Minneapolis/St. area of MN) and have lots of questions for you all as I get ready to try to conceive... I had a lot of complications from my wls (3 years ago) and still have trouble eating enough, absorbing enough, and getting the nutrition I need. I have to keep a close eye on my iron levels as I'm borderline anemic most of the time (anemic the rest). Therefore, I have some concerns about nutrition during pregnancy. I'm wondering... should I look for an ob who is familiar with wls and the nutritional needs of post-gastric bypass patients? Did any of you? If so, do you think it made any difference in your pregnancy experience? Also, I've been trying to find chewable prenatal vitamins. I have trouble taking the horse-pill sized prenatals I'm doing now, and with my absorption problems, I don't know if they're doing all they can. Where might I find chewable prenatals -- if there are such things? Thanks for whatever help you can give! Callie B - hoping to be pregnant soon! __________________________________________________
