This is my second pregnancy and last night I experienced this cramping, on my

left side about where the ovary would be. Is this normal? This pain kept me

up for a long time last night, until I rolled on my left side which seemed to

help the pain out. They say that every pregnancy is different. I think that as

soon as 8:00 hits I am going to call my OB doctor and ask them about this. I

am not even scheduled until June 30th to go see him.

It could be just the ovary moving up with the growing baby. I had some slight

pain like that in both my ovaries from time to time. Go ahead and call your

OB though and ask them. Maybe they will take you in sooner or tell you it is

common so you do not worry. Thank god it went away though, thats the best sign.

I experienced pains in my ovarian area during the first few months.

I was told to lay on my left side. I also had a series of pains in

my lower abdominal area. Both of which my doctor said is not

uncommon. But whenever you have pain, I would suggest that you tell

your doctor and let them tell you that it's normal. When you're

pregnant, I would never second guess a pain, etc... I hope this

helps!

Okay, I found out what the pain on my left side was. My OB nurse said that it

is where the egg is producing a cyst, which produces progesten. At the same

time the cyst is contracting and keeping the uterus from bleeding(period). It

is normal and will go away soon. Thank to all of you who replied to my post.

Could be " Round Ligament Pain " I had it reallllly bad with my 2nd

pregnancy. This is my 3rd & I am 22 weeks and have had it a few

times. Basically the round ligiment that holds your uterus in place

is stretching. It can help to lay on the side that hurts. You can

get more (better) information by typing round ligiment pain into a

search engine.

Hurts like heck - hope you are feeling better soon!
