Guest guest
We have an appointment with Dr. H on 3/11, I think it is at 10:30am. Anyone else seeing Dr. H on the same day? We live in Boston so we are planning on drive into NYC on the same day. It is a 4 hr drive so we have to start the day really early, but it save us money and hassle of staying overnight in a hotel. I am sure this has been asked so I apologize for asking again. Is there a garage nearby that charges reasonable fees? Anything I need to know before we drive in? Is it a good idea to drive into the city or should we park outside the city and take trains in? Thanks everyone! Bo Is it common for kids to have bad breath when they are sick? This happened with my son over the weekend. He had a cold, and then on Sunday night he vomited a couple of times before he went to bed and developed a fever overnight. I gave him Telynol and he was fine the next day, but I noticed that he had bad breath all day, even after lunch and dinner. I noticed a white patch on his tongue which is probably the culprit (from drinking pediasure, I guess). Should I brush his tongue? He has very sensitive gag reflux so I am afraid of triggering vomiting. But again just brushing his teeth didn't do the trick. By the way, I am still using a safe-to-swallow type of toothpaste for him (for babies). My son is 3.5 years old now. I am thinking of switching him to a regular kid toothpaste. How should I train him not to swallow? Thanks so much! Bo (, SGA/IUGR, 3.5 years old, 30lbs, 37 " )
Guest guest
Bo, We will miss you by two days. Too bad. But you are sure to meet someone there who has RSS. We always do. As for the parking situation and driving, etc, we find it is just easier to park at the valet in front of the hospital. You pull up at the 68th Street entrance, go around the circle, staying to the left, and line up with the rest of the cars waiting to be taken away to be parked. A man will give you a ticket and you just have to tell him about how long you will be. We always say at least 3 hours 'cause that is usually how long we just wait to see Dr. H! I think the most you will pay for parking is under $30. It is just so much easier than parking elsewhere and taking a taxi. And the cost and hassle amount to about the same. Jodi Z.
