I found this site.. it's got an online calcium calculator where it lists the calcium in certain foods.. You can pick and choose through these to figure out, based on age, what foods will get you your daily intake.. Looks like salmon and sardines are very good sources of calcium, but there are lots others listed.. Guest guest
Thanks, . Those are good sources. I am questioning the orange juice, as it was my understanding that the calcium in orange juice actually isn't the kind to be absorbed properly. I also know that leafy green vegetables have calcium, and didn't miss out on that discussion, but she'd have to consistently eat a lot of leafy greens to count on that for the daily requirements. I have and have read 's book, but just because one person writes something in a book doesn't answer all my questions and assuage all my concerns, though I respect 's input and have found her book very helpful. The beans are a good idea but could cause more gas. Thanks for your suggestions. If somebody can clear up the confusion as to fortified orange juice I would appreciate it; I have heard it both ways on this list and have definitely read in other sources that this isn't helpful.
