Know this is short notice but things have been really wild around

here lately (should say wilder than usual). 's parent/teacher

conference is Thursday and the teacher is still pushing for Ritalin.

Never mind that there is only 5 weeks left of school and 's

recent regression was due in part to a dietary infraction at school

(compounded a couple of days later by one at church). Never mind

that we are seeing improvement now at home and at church too, his

teacher is saying that he needs " just a little medication to take the

edge off " . I need to know what web sites to go to to support my case

against using Ritalin. (Please, I hope noone out there will take

offense if they give their child Ritalin, I just feel it is not

warranted in 's case). I have looked at several

different " natural " mixtures that I thought I might try instead but

has multiple allergies and there was something in all of them

he could not have. It is difficult for because the first

thing they do when he gets to school is go outside and play and then

go to the big room for music and lots of movement, etc. Then from

there he goes to circle time! The teacher's aid told me Thursday

that he had a good day because they restructured his day a bit.

(Skipped music and took him in the classroom and did a craft

instead). She said he had no problems the rest of the day. (They

had a hard time getting him inside from playing first thing but that

was all). I have thought about just bringing him in late after music

until the school year is over...Anyway, any advice would be

appreciated. Rosie
