Fertility Appointment

Hello Ladies

I have a quick question. I go Monday for my first apt w/the fertility

specialist. I just wanted to see if any of you on the list have had IVF

post WLS and if the WLS caused any problems with this that I need to talk to

the specialist about. I can't forsee that it should but just wondered.

Thanks for any info you can share with me.

I am 6 1/2 months pregnant after weight loss surgery and we conceived him by

IVF with ICSI and PESA. You should have nothing in your IVF that will hinder

you based on the WLS EXCEPT make sure if you take any pills by mouth that

they are absorbable. We did the birth control PATCH instead of the

pills...just in case. And antibitotics are given at the time of transfer and

we made sure they were in a solid pill form...no gel caps with the powder

inside.
