I am not that old of a mito family group, I have been with you since

Jan.06. This is a new problem for me, so I would like some opinions

if possible. I have been going down hill with mito(Melas). It seems

to come in stages, days are getting more and more difficult. I first

had to learn to listen to my body, about the use of energy. I think

I have dealt with the grief also of the loss my body has sustained.

Just like you all suggested. Now, this started about a week ago. I

have alot of problems with my arms, weakness has become worse and

worse, then sometimes, it seems to attack my neck muscles, where I

have trouble holding my head up sometimes. Well 3 days ago, I

finally decided to go to hospital, hadn't been there in awhile, just

been dealing with the mito problems. Well I felt something had

really changed, cause I was having trouble with my upper torso's

muscles. My back muscles, my front chest muscles, shoulder and neck

muscles were going into total spasms, like charlie horses even if I

moved the slighest. I was quite uncomfortable, since I couldn't

really move, I even had to wear my neck brace to try and take some

of the strain. Well, I got no where with the hospital, we all no how

they look at you. I asked them to take a cpk, lactic acid, and blood

count test. They did. My cpk they said was ok. My lactic acid was

2.80 and my blood count was up to 11. They told me to increase my

baclofen and see a doc in a week. Whoop de doo. Left feeling just as

lousy, and still having major problems with muscles. It's like all

of a sudden they got drastically worse. Yest these muscles were

weak, but never had back, chest muscle problems. It was more or less

contained to arms. I feel like my shoulders are dislocating

themselves some times, and it seems like I am wearing my neck brace

more and more also. Can mito progress like that, or maybe I am

crashing again? Don't no, any ideas?
