Guest guest
I had a 30-day event monitor from my cardiologist, which is especially for " infrequent " episodes. I suggest seeing a cardiologist and getting fit for one. I have bradycardia (slow heart rate) and arrhythmias (heart rate speeding up and slowing down irregularly). I am cleared to play sports, and passed my stress test, but had about 10 episodes in the month I was on the monitor, each a bit different, but net result for me was " wait and see how much you black out from them " as my EKG itself was okay except for the timing. Doctor mentioned possibly a pacemaker in the future... Even a medical doctor can't really tell what's going on unless they get some EKG data while the episodes are occurring, could be dangerous, could be not - best to find out (and also get a cardiology baseline if there aren't any issues, good for ALL mito patients even those w/o heart symptoms). Take care, RH > > i did get your message, do you know if these pausing episodes are > dangerous? why did you end up getting the pacer?
