Guest guest
Laurie, I guessed I missed your post about the pulmonologist on Wed. Things here have been busy. My J tube got clogged for 12 days (which meant no J feeds) and then ended up infected and it had blood and pus coming from the stoma site and the tube, so to the ER in Philly where my J tube fell out in the ER Attendees hand. LOL !!! Ended up admitted and had to have a temporary PICC line placed. Luckily the IR team was able to insert a small pediatric tube into the opening where my old J tube was. Spent 5 days in the hospital with IV antibiotics running every 5 hours. Spent New Years Eve and Day there. I was suppose to have a broviac placed this past Thursday but the Chief of IR told me when I was admitted that no central line will be placed until the J tube site is healed and a new one placed. Went to Philly on Thursday to see the GI surgeon and he told me that the Chief of IR will be doing my J tube placement and then the central line once the tube is healed. Looks like my New Year is off to a heck of a start.... Good Luck on your echo too!! Hugs, Ann-Marie Ann-Marie The blood gases are for the pulmonologist who I saw on Wed. and the echo is my yearly, ordered by the cardiologist. Good luck on your echo. laurie
Guest guest
Ann-Marie I probably didn't even mention the pulmonology appt. I had a neuro, pulmo and cardio appts within a week. I'm sorry to hear about your tube problems. You will be in my thoughts as you go through the surgeries and healing periods.
