Guest guest
, This is very much like my daughter used to have when she was younger. She has been told she has dysautonomia. Guest guest
Yes, my PCP and also ER people thought it was " psych " (anxiety) for me, but the cardiologist used a 30-day monitor to show there were tachy and bradycardia episodes, thus a medical condition. A cardiologist is best I think for these type symptoms - they are the only ones to rule out " anxiety " as the sole cause of " these symptoms " . A psychologist will just assume you *do* have anxiety and treat you as such, regardless (IMHO...). I currently am on a PPO plan, which has higher deductibles than a HMO, but I can see *any* specialist I want without a referral (VERY nice!). Take care, RH > > > , > > > > This is very much like my daughter used to have when > > she was younger. > > She has been told she has dysautonomia. YMMV > > > > He has dysautonomia. He does have psych issues but they don't cause tachycardia, bladder spasms, GI bleeds, etc. It's just too easy to blame the patient. Guest guest
, I get this kind of feeling every once in a while but cannot describe it. Mine happens when my blood sugar goes very low or just yesterday when I drank 1/2 of a bottle of wine cooler. I think mine has more to do with low blood sugar though but I also get the tingly feelings, nausea, dizzy all at once also. I can recognize mine now as it starts and usually grab something with sugar in it and go sit or lay down. Janet Sample Need help describing a feeling Hi, My son, is 17. He sometimes gets a feeling he describes as feeling like he's outside his body. When he has these feelings he also complains of feeling dizzy, being tingly (has periphral neuropathy), falling, being tired and he's got nausea and vomiting. I think that the problem is autonomic in nature. Anybody else ever have this feeling? Do you have other words to describe it? Thanks. Guest guest
---Yes I get this feeling! It is usually caused from my POTS...when I have low blood volume. It is hard to describe and feels awful. I think of it as feeling like you do when you are in shock. I used to think it was from low blood sugar...but my blood suger was fine. I feel like I have not eaten or drinken anyting, naustious, spacey, light tinglly on the verge of collape. IT almost feels as if part of my insides are missing. I just need to sleep and push fluids when i feel like this. Have you looked at the website DINET Dysautonomia Information Network. It may be very helpful.
