Guest guest
El YES, my son Nik reacts to diet slip-ups at least 10-12 hrs after the fact. Mostly his reaction is curling up into a ball and holding his belly and crying " Boo-Boo " . Sometimes he gets the autism giggles and won't stop until at least a full day has gone by. I have slowly but surely started to eliminate foods that I think also cause him these problems. Hang in there, Hugs, Terry.B

Guest guest
" Psychotic laughter was one of the telltale signs that my son had a problem with certain foods. He would be absolutely straight-faced, then after eating gluten/casein he would break out into uncontrollable laughter and just be looking at the walls or something like that! Scary isn't it?? IMHO, that sounds exactly like a gluten reaction to me. But this too shall pass. Good luck to you. -a mother to Billy 4 yo autistic GFCF for about 10 months (give or take) > my son is laughing deliriously this morning. hasn't had this > happened in a while. he ate a stole a wheat cookie yesterday adn it > was too late before i managed to salvage it. could that be? > has this happened to anyone out there? > > el mom to jud 3.4 pdd/autistic
Guest guest
does this everytime he gets any wheat or gluten at all. If you can give your child a digestive enzyme the next time this happens ( within 30 minutes), then you can avoid alot of the laughing. We have found that most fruits will cause this same reaction. We are limiting all fruits (this means he hardly ever gets any) except fresh berries.... they don't seem to bother Josh as bad.
