Hello...

Well fellow group members I have a question. Years ago I went to a

Genetics MD and he said that he THOUGHT that I may be RSS. When I

have tried to get him to respond to an email, to define me since I am

trying to get Social Security because of other medical problems, some

dealing with the Short Statured Syndrome. He will not respond. What

I wanted to know, is if I send a pic of myself when I was 10 whether

someone in this group could say, yes or no you looked like a child

who has RSS. Remember, I was born in 1960 so alot of diagnosis's of

Short Statured people was not available at that time. I would

appreciate anyone who could help. I will send a pic of myself as a

child after I get a response.

Laurie,

You should definately post a picture of yourself but it would also

help if you had one younger than 10. Many RSS features get less

severe as the child get older. It's also helpful to see you in

relation to someone else your own age when you were a child. Looking

forward to seeing the picture.

Hi Laurie, I would love to see your pic!! My daughter is 6 and has a lot of RSS

characteristics.

Do you have any of these?

1) a broad forehead

2)small (pretty) features

3)small lower half of face

4)small chin and mouth

5) crowded teeth

6) low set ears

7)narrow body frame

8)very small hands with long thin clawlike fingers apart from little finger

which is very short and incurved

9)Assymetry fom side to side.(Imogen is slightly smaller on her left side...most

noticable in her left leg which is shorter and thinner than the right)

10)long narrow feet, little plump toes.

11) aversion to eating as young child improving with age.

12) large head size in relation to body as young child

That' s enough to be going on with!
