Guest guest
Jodie, The adjustment period is usually just a day or two, it normally gets better if everything is going right w/ the shoes. It sounds like his heels might not be down in the shoes properly which is causing him pain. Have you been checking for blisters/pressure sores? If you are getting his heels down and the strap tight then the heels should stay down. Have you gone through the " tips and tricks " list that is posted to the group periodically? If you don't have this I'm sure Kori can send it to you. Let us know how you are doing. Hope this helps. > > > Yesterday was Zach's first day in the DBB. Guest guest
Provided the shoe is fitting him correctly, this too shall pass. Here is a suggestion to help (I'm assuming he's an infant) - swaddle him tightly in a blanket that is large enough to wrap all the way around him about twice. Do you know how to *swaddle*? What this does is pretty much keeps the baby from being able to flop around and discover his feet wont kick the way he wishes they would. He'll be all tight and secure, just the way babies like so he feels safe. s. How long is the adjustment period Yesterday was Zach's first day in the DBB. Throughout the day he was pretty good with it, but night time was a different story. We were up all night. He would sleep and then let out an awful cry every 15 minutes when he tried to move his legs. I couldn't do anything to stop this from happening. He slept in my bed and it still didn't help. Needless to say, I feel like a zombie and don't know how many nights I can take this. I do have a hard time getting his heel to stay down in the shoes and am wondering if they are set up right. Please tell me this gets better. Jodie
