Guest guest
YOU ARE GREAT>>> Those are the very things that get kiddo's to respond. Much better in wee ones cases than " things " .It is an honorary thing with them. That's why getting certificates from school at assemblies in front of others rates so high with kids.......Who knows why, I guess it places up there with that wee pen for the lapel for 5 years service in a company .....RECOGNITION..?? maybe ANYWAY, Great idea. Another super " trick " for all to put in their books for use as needed too GO PEDALS..!! GO APPLES...!! LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV eating Eilish has an appt. to see the dietitician on Monday. Hopefully they can get her more interested in food. We put a good eating chart on the fridge on Tuesday. For every meal she eats fully she gets a petal (its a daisy chart). She has got three petals now. Her teacher has one up in the classroom for her now as well. Liam also has a apple tree chart on the fridge. He gets a apple for each night he sleeps the whole night in his own bed. I feel like a kindergarden. (Australia)

Guest guest
My opinion at 4 months post-op is that it is normal, and when I say " alot " it is really not " alot " like other people eat or like I used to eat. Somedays I am hungry more frequently and can get the 6 small meals in that my doc suggests, sometimes 2, sometimes 3...I think it just depends on what I eat and how long it stays with me. Guest guest
Jeri, This may not be the best advice but I find it works for me. Because I'm pregnant and need FOOD I only eat what sounds like will sit best on my stomach. I take my Vitamins and eat what I can. My weight gain has been minimal but he is getting what he needs according to doctors. When I get bored with food and nothing sound good I eat what I need only. So if it is forcing down an apple because it'll stay down I eat it even if it isn't my first choice. Hope this helps, good luck. Guest guest
My thin hubby has always gone through phases like that where he thought food was boring and didn't want to eat. Being fat i never understood this. When I didn't know what I wanted I kept eating stuff until I found what i wanted or got too full to try. Now being 27 week pregnant no food really sounds good - it is all boring and even when i am hungry I dont " feel " like eating. I still do because of the baby but I thought pregos were suposed to crave things and like to eat a lot. That is just not the case with me. I understand where you are comming from. - Diane > Over the last few days I have become so bored with food. Guest guest
Hi Jeri (and everyone else) I've typed posts about my eating problems too. I'm in the same boat as you...bored with food, can't get more than a few bites in without feeling completely full, feeling like an eating robot, tastebuds aren't working, and I've lost 12# in 6wks. I'll be seeing a high-risk doctor next week and will discuss with him my absorbtion problems...and have been told that I may be put on weight-gain drinks. THANK GOD we have this group to turn to for support and experience sharing! From what I've read and told, many of us post-ops have this problem...(or something like unwanted weightloss during pregnancy) to go on having a healthy baby. Good luck!!! in Detroit
