Guest guest
Thanks for such a great message. I know so much of what you are talking about. I can relive the years and days with Max while reading your post. Max is now 5' tall and weighs about 101 pounds. Actually, I think he may be closer to 5'1 " now. He looks just fine for his size, but those skinny legs! Man, they are skinny. Max does look very young for his age, but the kids at the high school all look out for him and everyone seems to know his name. Max just does his own thing and does not care if someone is with him or not. I do wish he would be more social, but that will come, I guess. He's dealing with so much right now that social worries are not on the top of my list - or his. As for the sleeping, or lack of it, we went through a long time where Max just could not sleep. We never did figure out why. The doctor had us give him mega doses of Benadryl and that did not work. Eventually we had to turn to something stronger. Even now on a good night, Max will sleep for about 7 hours. At his age, sleep is supposed to be a priority, but then again, so is eating and that is not on top of his list, either. I do hope to see you at the convention this summer. I'm trying to work out a few things so I can go. It's complicated. Just keep on doing what you are doing. I hear you, friend, and it's not easy. Thank God for this group. Jodi Z.
