I took to the ped's office today for a follow up to his throwing

up/allergies/sinus infection from 2 weeks ago.. He's fine.. While we were

there, I told her that after seeing her, that weekend we went 100% casein

free and Josh spoke his first words.. And that in the 2 weeks since, he's

been showing pain with small things, when he bangs his head on the walls or

throws himself on the floor, he actually cries now.. he's never shown pain

before.. He's started having separation anxiety when I leave the room.. he's

not done that before either.. He's eating like there's no tomorrow..

constantly, and things that he doesn't usually eat like tuna, turkey, pasta

and sauce, mashed potatoes, corn, peas.... it's been so cool to watch.

Anyway, I told her all of this and she got choked up, I thought she was going

to cry.. She said she was so happy for us and that she wanted to give me a

hug.. She did, a long tight hug, then stepped back and said that that wasn't

enough, she needed another.. LOL. She said that she doesn't know why this

therapy works for some kids and not others, but to not question it and keep

going.. I agreed and said that it truly makes all the sacrifices worth it..

I thought it was so touching to see her choked up on the verge of tears for

our little improvements... I can't wait to tell her the big ones.. :)

Just had to share.. :)
