Guest guest
* There is a product called Vances Dari-free non-dairy milk substitute that has 30% of the r.d.a. of calcium in each 8 oz. glass of it. Then multivitamins have some calcium, if you cook with the dari-free then thats more calcium. Tropicana has an orange juice plus calcium that has 35% of the rec. daily in an 8 oz. glass. Almond butter (LJ - my son- is allergic to peanuts) has calcium and also amaranth flour is a souce of calcium, and if you do decide to go on this diet you can do baking with amaranth flour. Pinto beans and kidnet beans are also sources of calcium, but I don't know the % value. As far as ice creams there are sorbets which are GFCF and also soy free. My son has an allergy to soy so I use these sorbets for him. LJ is 6 and loves every meal and dessert that he gets. Try and see if you can get a copy of " Special Diets for Special Kids " by and it will explain so much about this diet. My son is med. free and suppl. free except for multivitamins so I can't answer any of questions in those areas. Good luck in everything with you and your daughter. on Long Island New York * On Sat, 28 Apr 2001 20:20:11 -0700 (PDT) Cheryl Homiak chomiak@...> writes: , and also > considering > seriously placing her on the gluten-free casein-free diet (though > admitedly I've been edging slowly and cautiously toward that course > of > action), I had removed > her milk and, at our doctor's recommendation, given her soy milk > though > not in large quantities.
