Advice and Help

I am a lurker for about two years now. My girlfriend and I had wls

4/02 by the same surgeon. She now is 9wks pregnant. Today she had

appt for sonogram. A CYST was found on her ovaries, also there was

evident of one that was there.

With that said we are very close and I am very concerned about her

and the baby. This is oh so new to her, yes I have a child (pre op)

but that was 11 years ago, technology has changed so much.

Have any of you ladies experience having a cyst while pregnant? If so

how did your Dr. monitor you? Any comments or suggestion are

welcomed. Even though I am not pregnant yet, this group has been very

helpful, I have and plan to continue to retain all of the very

informative information. Also my friend she is a lurker as well, so

yell at her to come out of that shell and introduce herself to the

GROUP!!!!!

I would also like to wish all the new mommies and mommies to be the

Hi there!

I suffer from PCOS and had several cysts from when I got pregnant...

I had used the injectibles and had developed several large cycts

that were painful..but.. on the good side - once I hit about 10

weeks, my cysts starting going down.. as the ovaries weren't having

to supply the progesterone as much any more. (the placenta takes

over at about 10 weeks - relieving the cysts!)

But, I was fine.. and SEVERAL of the ladies on another group I

belong to have dealt with it as well.. and all seem to be fine! One

lady did have to have one of her cysts drained.. but she's doing

great and is now about 14 weeks pg!!

Keep hope!! I think it will be alright!!

PS - on the plus side.. having a cysts means that my doc gave me a

bunch of ultrasounds!! LOL!! The lady that had to have hers drained -

she got an ultrasound every other week!!!!
