Guest guest
Hi Deanna and the Group! When I had my ultrasound at 18 weeks, my little guy was only about 7 ounces! I am now 20 weeks, I just had my check up today. I dread the scale-I was up 6.5 pounds from my last visit 4 weeks ago. I asked my doctor if she was concerned and she said no as my total weight gain has been " average " to date. I know that I will always be worried about gaining too much weight. I keep thinking I shouldn't gain as much as a person who hasn't had surgery but I have to keep reminding myself that I am over 3 years out and everyone is different (surgery or no surgery)! :-) I can say now that I am half way there-but I cannot wait to get through the next half! I have been so lucky to breeze through this to date; I have felt great and no problems so I couldn't be happier. I will go back for an ultrasound in about 7 weeks to make sure that the placenta has moved and isn't covering the cervix which would then be considered Placenta Previa. My doctor said that about 95 percent of these move up on their own so I am confident that mine will as well! Have a great night everyone, Ivy Kennedy 11/7/00, Dr. Baker EDD 8/22/04, it's a boy!
