Guest guest
For gastric bypass patients they don't recommend taking Iron in the form of Ferrous Sulfate (which is what is readily available).. Look for Iron in the form of Ferrous Fumerate or Amino Acid or Chelate. Really anything that isn't in the form of Sulfate because it is hard on our pouchies and isn't absorbed as well by an GB patient. Hope this helps! Vitalady.com also will have the right type. I already have a big problem with constipation, so I am nervous about starting Iron. What do all of you recommend? Thanks! Lori D.
