Guest guest
I took to get an ultrasound today. His endocrinologist (who saw him for the 1st time when he was 3 months old and doesn't want to see him again until he is 3 years old) had mentioned he should have one done, but never ordered it. So I asked his ped about it and it got scheduled. I took him in today, but he was too wiggly and his stomach wasn't empty enough, so I'm taking him back tomorrow. Anyway, the technician did say it looked like he had " horseshoe " kidneys. She said they are like the shape of a horseshoe, and when they were being formed, they never got separated. I am going to take him back tomorrow to see if they can get a better look at 'em, but wondered if any of you have ever been told something similar? Also, he has his first GI appt. tomorrow. I asked for ideas on what to ask, but didn't get any responses. I'm not sure what to ask or what kind of tests to request. If any of you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
