Guest guest
Hi Jodi- Isn't GT fed? Pippin doesn't eat or drink anything orally. So how do you get water into them unless you bolus some water. But then you're missing out on those precious calories. It's not easy is it?? I also have found that Burt's Bees makes a lip balm for babies and it works great! I even use it. It doesn't make you addicted like Carmex and Blistex can. Both my girls will let me put that on their lips. It seems in the winter months, I'm always putting some sort of cream on both the girls and me and Dan! Guest guest
Jenyfer, Yes, is g tube fed and won't take much if anything orally. We do try to get a 5 cc syringe of water and put it to his mouth to see if he will drink it. He takes a drop or two, but we have to syringe the rest into his tube. It is hard because is usually so full from his feed, but I try to sneak it in to him at least three times a day. Sometimes he will spit up, but he needs the water! ) Jodi R.
