Guest guest
I have a question for those of you who go through pulmonary function testing regularly and have breathing issues of one sort or another. Do you ever have an immediate urge to cough when you lie down? Can this be related to respiratory muscle weakness or is it something else? I did have pulmonary function testing years ago and the results were not good, but no one suggested any follow up and I have not wanted to add one more doctor to the list. I've has sob for many years in varying degrees and weakness in respiratory muscles. A recent CT scan did find a small amount of fluid around the heart, but no one seemed concerned about that and I question whether such a small amount could induce coughing when lying down.
