Kori,

My Dh works on puters for a living.. He says he has a hard drive you can have

if you like.. :) Just let me know :)

-------------- Original message --------------

Hey all,

Darbi pulled my laptop on the floor and broke the AC socket (again, I'm so

stupid... Kenton did this when he was the same age 5y ago - but this time,

it wasn't on *my* watch...) and I have limited battery power left till I

can take it apart and see if it just needs soldering or a whole new

motherboard. I have some priorities, to get pics off and some files I'm

working on so I'll be doing that with my battery power till it's gone I'm

sure.

I've got dh's puter but he takes that to work. I also have this one

laptop, which has shown to be temperamental at times in the past and I'm

not sure if this OS will work properly for very long but it is working

pretty good right now. So please excuse any absences over the next few

weeks/months as I work out this puter problem I have.

I have a desktop, but the hard drive is too large for my motherboard and my

old one still dead from last summer.

I'm stuck... Should anyone have an old puter lying around with an unused

smaller hard drive (10-30 gig- mine was 13g) I would be interested in

purchasing it to get the desktop back up and running. This would be good,

since my boys recently really started using the puter and laptops are

really, not for children. Perhaps I won't break an AC socket for a FOURTH

time after I get this one fixed if I can keep their grimy fingers off of

it... (OK, I've broken one myself too... why don't they recess these

things like Iomega did on the Zip drive?)

More later, now to work on spring cleaning!

Kori
