Healing the Body and Mind in Farmworker Health, " October 20-22, 2005, at the

Memphis Marriott Downtown & Cook Convention Center, in Memphis, Tennessee.

> As part of a focus on farmworkers' mental health, a priority health issue that

challenges both farmworker and health care communities, this year's Forum and

research track features workshops that aim to improve providers' ability to

recognize, diagnose, treat and prevent mental health issues among farmworker

patients using culturally-appropriate clinical and community-based

interventions. Dr. ph Hovey, PhD, Program for the Study of Immigration and

Mental Health, University of Toledo, will be present to share current knowledge

about farmworkers' mental health and facilitate a dialogue with researchers and

others about future directions for research in this critical area. The research

track will also highlight workshops that address occupational injuries and

health, community-based research, IRBs, migrant children's health, HIV/STD risk,

and chronic disease outcomes.

2005. A limited number of scholarships are available to support attendance at

the Forum. Scholarship applications and other general conference information can

also be found at www.ncchca.org. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is

September 14, 2005.
