Hi Katharine, it is really not muich different as before surgery. You will

probably have a easier healthier pegnancy this time around thanks to weight

loss. This is my first after surgery baby and i haven't swelled at all in my

hands

and feet where the others it was terrible and i even had to have my rings cut

off. Just be sure to take all your vitmains and eat as well as possible and

snack some healthys tuff in between. Start yourself on some folic acid now to

help pevent birth defects and keep all your prenatal appts. Good Luck to you

and hubby.

I had Kayla 2 1/2 months early and she weighed just 1 lb. 14 oz. She was in

the NICU from January 20th to March 18th. I was due April 5th so she came

no way are we having any more kids but now we've decided it's a great thing to

do. Keep your fingers crossed!

Attempting another child after a preemie and the NICU experience can be

daunting.. especially if you don't know the 'whys'

When I had Noah at 31 weeks.. I was about 260 lbs... at 5' .

I got preggers 10 weeks after surgery.. and right now down 60+ lbs.. give or

take a few from day to day.

At 19 weeks preggers and 60 lbs lighter... I feel so much different and

better.

In fact... I can actually FEEL my uterus this time!!

I am just hoping and praying for a " take home " baby this time. :)

Good morning all! I've just become a member of the group this

morning! My name is . My hubby and I are trying to get

preggers (my term for pregnant). I had RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery

on Jan. 29th '03. I've lost almost 175 lb. We have just begun

trying to conceive and are extremely excited! We have a 3 year old

and are ready to add a brother or sister to our family. I am

looking for advice and support as until now I have not been able to

find very much information on pregnancy after WLS. I look forward

to hearing from others.

Thanks

Thanks for responding! I'm here in Virginia and I'm married w/ one girl Kayla

who's just 3 1/2 years old. We are hoping to get preggers right away. This is

something I have been wanting forever it seems like. I am very excited!

Congratulations to you and your family. I wish you well. Good luck to you as

well. I think you'll do just fine. Keep me posted. I am hoping that things

will go all right with this pregnancy. Although now that I've lost nearly 175

lb. I feel like maybe it's a different game altogether. I had Kayla 2 1/2

months early and she weighed just 1 lb. 14 oz. She was in the NICU from January

20th to March 18th. I was due April 5th so she came home a bit before her due

date. At first after GBS my hubby and I were thinking no way are we having any

more kids but now we've decided it's a great thing to do. Keep your fingers
