Hi Amy,

If you can't financially afford the trip to NYC coming up in Feb.,

then you can't. But, I would suggest that at some point you try to

make the trip. You can wait to see Dr. H initially at the

convention, but keep in mind she won't be able to do anything for him

while you are there, since she won't be able to do testing or

anything like that. She can give you ideas, and advice, though. She

will probably suggest that you bring him to see her at some point.

I, like you, was worried about the trip to NY, but I am glad we

went. has gained 4 lbs. since seeing her at the end of Oct.,

beginning of Nov. And, let me tell you, that is amazing for him.

So, she has helped us, and I know that others on here will tell you

the same thing.

So, I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Do you want her

to confirm the RSS? Them I am sure she can do that for you at the

convention. When the coworkers at my husbands work heard that I

would be making the trip to NYC, they had huge fundraisers and we

ended up with $2500.00 from them! Also, family memebers sent some

funds our way. So, when people here about the situation and know

that it is a Dr. that is the only RSS specialist, maybe they would

help you out also!? Just a thought. Ken is right about angel

flight, from what I hear. I met a mom in NYC that had used it to get

to Dr. H for that trip. She ssaid they were great to her. So, maybe

you could check in to that. Also, I hear that you need to call in

advance for the McDonlad house. So, check into that also. I

understand that it is a hard decision. I don't know if I helped. I
