Attached is a copy of Occupational

Illnesses and Injuries among Latino Poultry Workers in Western North Carolina.

This report presents the findings of a recent survey of Latino poultry workers

in western North Carolina.

The survey is part of a four-year study funded by the National Institute for

Occupational Safety and Health. It was conducted by a partnership of Wake

Forest University School of Medicine and Centro Latino of Caldwell County,

Inc.

The goal of the survey was to describe the occupational health effects

experienced by this population of immigrant workers. Findings from the survey

will be used to assist workers in their efforts to improve their health and

their working and living conditions. We welcome your comments and questions

about the study.
