Guest guest
Hi, all, Brett is going in for surgery tomorrow morning to have tubes put in (again) and his adenoids taken out. Minor surgery, but any and all prayers would be GREATLY appreciated! He's scheduled for 7 AM Eastern time (we have to be there at 6-UGH!). Thanks in advance! Also, I made modified Toll House cookies today, and they came out GREAT! My 10 yo daughter, after eating 3, said " Wow- these don't have gluten? " Thought I'd post the recipe for ya'll to enjoy. (It's off the package of Nestle chocolate chips, but I know you can't buy those anymore!) Enjoy! Mix: 2 1/4 c gf flour (Hagman mix) 1 t baking soda 1 t salt 2 1/4 t xanthan gum Cream together: 1 c margerine (2 sticks) 3/4 c sugar 3/4 c brown sugar Beat into creamed mixture: 1 t vanilla 2 eggs Add dry ingredients and blend well. Mix in 1 c gfcf chocolate chips (I used Miss Roben's) and 1/2 c nuts if desired. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy! Guest guest
Prayers and best wishes to Brett and family. I'll be thinking of you. Nothing is harder than seeing our children go through any type of treatment, let alone surgery. Remember that the group is always here for you. Oh...thanks for the cookie recipe. I'll try it this week. ('s mom) Cookies and Prayers > Hi, all, > Brett is going in for surgery tomorrow morning to have tubes put in > (again) and his adenoids taken out.
